Landscape of Innovation (BIO 2019)

This presentation, initially shared during our second annual Super Session talk at BIO 2019 in Philadelphia, takes a fresh look at the drivers of value for innovators, with a focus on the technologies and applications that attracted significant funding in 2018. We first evaluate the pipeline activity across top venture raises globally to identify key therapeutic classes of interest. We then take a deeper dive into several innovative therapeutic classes, with a focused look at the path to value maximization across ex vivo cellular therapies, in vivo gene therapies, innovative oligonucleotide therapies, and bispecific antibodies. Our analysis of these therapeutic classes highlights how companies today can drive investment and generate value through well articulated, curated portfolio strategies supporting differentiated science and technology.
