Rich Mynahan joins ClearView Healthcare Partners from Leerink Swann Strategic Advisors, where he had been a Vice President since 2005. In that role, he helped companies develop corporate, business unit, and asset-level strategies and worked across the transaction support spectrum (licensing and acquisition target screening, strategic due diligence, and merger integration).

Prior to Leerink Swann, Mr. Mynahan was the Director of Strategic Decision Group’s Boston office, and before that a Manager in the Healthcare Strategy Practice of Arthur D. Little. Prior to consulting, he worked as a banker specializing in acquisition finance for healthcare companies, participating in more than 20 transactions, exceeding $2 billion in committed capital.

Mr Mynahan received his M.B.A. with honors from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and holds a B.A. in economics, cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross.

Kevin Richard joins ClearView Healthcare Partners from Leerink Swann Strategic Advisors, where he was a Managing Director and co-founded this consulting organization in 2001.

Previously, he served as a Director in the consulting practice at Decision Resources, where he supported multinational life science companies in the evaluation and prioritization of strategic business opportunities in a variety of therapeutic areas. Prior to Decision Resources, he worked at Astra USA, Inc., and was Director of Ocular Allergy at Ophthalmic Research Associates (ORA). In his role at ORA and as a result of research conducted at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, he coauthored numerous publications.

Mr. Richard received his M.B.A. with honors from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Steve Chao joins ClearView Healthcare Partners from Leerink Swann Strategic Advisors, where he was a Vice President. In that role, he led therapeutic area, clinical development, and product launch strategy initiatives, as well as due diligence and asset search engagements.

He joined Leerink Swann in 2004 from McKinsey and Company, where he led strategic engagements in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, payer, and provider industries.

He received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard Medical School. He has published over 20 articles and led neuroscience research in the laboratories of Dr. Lawrence Benowitz and Dr. Jonathan Seidman. He graduated summa cum laude with his B.A. in Biochemistry from Harvard College.
